아직 그들이 죽지 않았다면 오늘도 어디선가 살아있다(2022)는 타지에 자라고 있는 한국 씨앗과 작물을 관찰하며 시작되어 3년간 진행된 프로젝트다. 씨앗과 작물, 그리고 그 작물을 돌보는 행위를 통해 파독 간호사였던 작가의 할머니(Cha) 개인의 삶과 간호사들의 연대, 그리고 그들의 삶의 바탕인 '돌봄'에 대해 이야기한다. 네덜란드와 베를린을 오가며 작업하는 작가는 손에 쥘 수 있는 크기의 책의 형태로 인터뷰, 에세이, 세밀화, 드로잉 등을 엮으며 경계에 있는 존재들을 위한 매체로서 ‘책’을 제안한다. 이 책들은 씨앗 심기 워크샵, 음식을 통한 참여형 작업, 라운드 테이블을 통해 다양한 형태로 펼쳐지고 확장된다.
If they have not died, then they still live today(2022) is a 3 years project which had began by observing Korean seeds and crops growing in a strange land. Through the act of gardening, it shed on the individual lives of Korean nurses who sent to Germany in 60-70’s and their way of being in solidarity as immigrant, women, labour. Expanding works from gardening to the notion of ‘care’ which is basis of their lives, the project suggest to reaware of the terms of ‘care’ and ask how to apply and practice the action of care in our times. Interviews zine, essays, drawings, photographs, etc are released in the form of various books, prints. Through the trans plating workshop, culinary participatory works and performances, Miru Bahc tried to see how the archives; the book and zine can have more performativity

(...) 서로를 염려하며, 염려해야만 존재하는 그의 텃밭은 그래서 불완전하고 아름답다. 그의 텃밭을 방문하는 사람들은 모두 그 염려 속에서 함께 일하고 수확한 재료들로 밥을 해먹는다. 그 시간 속에서 그들은 ‘우리’가 되고, 함께 밟고 서 있는 땅에 대해 질문한다. 하나의 식물이 씨앗을 틔우고, 땅에 뿌리를 내리며 자신의 자리를 찾아나가아는 것처럼 ‘우리’는 이 땅에서 살아가기 위해 무엇을, 어떻게 맞서야하는가에 대해 이야기하기 시작한다. 그렇게 우리의 자리를, 우리의 언어를 찾아나서며 영역을 넓혀나간다. 서로의 따뜻한 염려 속에서 함께 살아나(아)갈 수 있는 토양을 비옥하게 만들어간다. (...) Her garden, which only exists when concered and being concerned on each other, is thus imperfect and beautiful. In such concerns, all people who visit in her garden work, cook and eat together. Then they become ‘we’ and start to ask about the ground they are stepping on. Just as like a plant sprouts seeds and takes root in the ground and struggles with its rights to it, they start to discuss about what and how to confront in order to live on here, the ground. This is the way they cultivate their own words and expand their fields. They fertilize the ground to stand with their feet in each others’ concerns. (...)
