Then They Still Live Today(2019-ongoing)
Long-term Artistic research
The body of work explores the Korean diaspora in Germany, focusing on the women who migrated in the 1960s and 70s and the communities they built. It unfolds through the botanical research on Korean seeds and a vegetable garden and interweaves with a figure named 'Cha'.
Consisting of artist books and an archival collection of past and present fragments—including seeds, photographs, and audio recordings—the work has expanded since 2019 through transplanting workshops, roundtables, and culinary performances.
